I've crated a monster

This week, I took the Brodie to Home Hardware to get some crates. We're trying to nest and create more space in our apartment, and what's more utilitarian than four new crates?

The Brodie already has one crate, so I thought I could carry four home on it. I bought zip ties and secured the crates on each side of the bike and the front, then stacked one on the extended one.

After checking out, I ran into a bike brigade rider who saw me trying to zip-tie four crates to the single crate on my bike. We shared a good laugh about that and a few other things going on.

From the moment I left until I got home, I was smiling like an idiot. I couldn't stop smiling even if I tried. Of course, I wouldn't recommend riding like this normally. As soon as I got home, I cut the zip ties and brought the crates inside to use for organizing, which was their original purpose. But I did start daydreaming about a bike with four crates mounted on the front.

The clydesdale continues to impress. The Brodie is noticeably heavier for it, but I'm having fun and I think it's been worth it so far.
